Diagnosis

2013年(79)

I was living with my son's family in a two-family house. When my husband passed away, I started to live on my own.
After seeing me signing a newspaper contract for 5 years in the future, burning pots and pans, and not taking baths, my son became concerned and took me to the hospital. MRI showed brain atrophy, and I was diagnosis with Alzheimer-type dementia.

2018年(84)

It became difficult for me to live alone at home, and I move into a facility.

Joy in life and living

1

Joy that you have given up

I want to do wood carving, which I used to love to do.

2

Joy that remains with you even after onset

Going for a walk at a nearby temple

3

Joy that remains with you even after onset

Listening to classical music

Something you would like to do in the future

I want to talk with my son. I wish he could tell me more about what is going on around him.
I also want to stay healthy so that I will not cause trouble to others. I try to walk often for that reason.
