Past experiences

2017年(77)

December: I was looking at the ingredient list of a similar processed food product to the one I used to deal with at work. When I left the supermarket without putting it through the checkout counter, I was caught by a surveillance worker.

2017年(77)

The police told my wife that I may need to be examined for dementia because I may be losing my memory.

2018年(77)

January: my wife consulted with my daughter, and they reached out to the city office, day care and care manager.
I decided to go to a hospital where care managers said a "very good doctor" was working. I was also familiar with the hospital.

Diagnosis

2018年(78)

I received a diagnosis after an examination. My wife was also confused.

2019年(79)

I feel that I do not need to go to the hospital because I am Nursing Care level 1. However, I agree to go because the doctor very professionally provides me with objective data and judgment based on a number of cases.
After receiving the diagnosis of dementia, I have been treated as a "person with dementia," which causes me stress, but I am glad to hear that I will be fine as long as I continue with my current lifestyle of using day services twice a week.
I go to the hospital once every two months for a medical consultation and a prescription for medication.

Joy in life and living

1

Joy that remains with you even after onset

Good with computers

2

Joy that remains with you even after onset

Go
Helped establish an amateur Go club and made pamphlets to recruit members

3

Joy that has come to you after onset

Growing vegetables in a neighborhood field (household vegetable garden)

4

Joy that has come to you after onset

That other people eat the vegetables I grow in the field and say they taste good

Something you would like to do in the future

I would like to meet a doctor who can treat my "back pain" in a way that suits me. I think it would be good for the era of an aging population if there are many more doctors like that.
I think it is difficult to define a good doctor because it is an ambiguous area, but I think it is wonderful that research is being conducted in this area. I have hopes for such research.
Are judgments about Support Care and Nursing Care really correct? If the lines are defined with clear criteria, even those who do not have knowledge will be able to tell that judgements are correct.

Challenges in daily living

Physical and mental dysfunctions

Message to the society

The media say things about dementia, but it is very different from person to person.
I have not yet sorted out in my mind what is expected of me in this interview.

The qualities of the closest caregiver (spouse) are important for this disease (symptoms). Please set a high weight on instructing and educating spouses.

Also, suppose you, who are looking at this, are getting older.
Along with the decline in physical strength, there is a marked decline in energy, memory, concentration, ability, etc.
Just imagine all that.
