Diagnosis

2017年(84)

I became unable to find pension money that I should have withdrawn. It also became ambiguous whether I had indeed withdrawn the money. Eventually, family members found the money at home.

I visited a hospital, was diagnosed with dementia, and started taking oral medication. At the time of diagnosis, I was doing shopping and cooking by myself.

2018年(85)

I received nursing care insurance certification and began using day services. At the beginning, I was walking to a neighboring day service.

2019年(86)

I sometimes had trouble finding and getting to the day service. Now I use pickup and drop-off transportation.

Joy in life and living

1

Joy that you have given up

Doing farm work (I currently do some work in planters at the day service, but it is not enough.)

2

Joy that remains with you even after onset

Singing in karaoke

3

Joy that remains with you even after onset

Going out to see and spend time together with others

Something you would like to do in the future

I want to continue enjoying karaoke as I have always done.
I want to grow my own crops like I used to do in the fields.
