Joy in life and living

1

Joy that remains with you even after onset

I like maps from my work experience. I like the TV show on houses in isolated places and wonder what would happen if I built travel routes for those houses.

2

Joy that remains with you even after onset

I like to make something with my hands. I make a Japanese bush warbler flute to see people's happy faces.

3

Joy that remains with you even after onset

I like music. I play guitar and sing. I like church hymns, too.

4

Joy that remains with you even after onset

I never run out of interests. I try many things to keep the words coming out of my mouth and to avoid getting weak.

Something you would like to do in the future

I want to make various toys, such as a Stirling engine, out of scrap materials. That is also how I distract myself.
Since I can use a PC, I want to write out transcripts of what the pastor of the church speaks about.

Challenges in daily living

Physical and mental dysfunctions

Message to the society

Talking about dementia is sometimes hard, but I wish I could encourage others. I want to say to each other that we need to hang in there. Facing the fact that we all get weaker, I want to convince myself that I should not take it too seriously, be optimistic, live and enjoy well. I would like people to understand that there are differences between people with juvenile dementia and those with dementia in old age, and that those with dementia cannot live only by what the system provides.
