Diagnosis

2017年(81)

I was energetically involved in sports, flower arrangement, travel, etc., but my behavior started to look different from before.

I had knee arthritis and fell down on the entrance doorstep, after which my legs and back rapidly weakened, making it difficult for me to walk. I needed a walker or wheelchair because of the risk of falling down on streets without handrails.

I moved in to a serviced residence for the elderly. The frequency of forgetting the most recent events increased. The scope of independent activities in daily life expanded, but although I could choose who to send New Year's cards to, I had difficulty writing letters.

I moved out of the serviced residence and returned home. Among household chores, I was able to do laundry but had difficulty seasoning food in cooking. I started not to go out to the supermarket for shopping. (I felt that I was not good at thinking and constructing processes).

2018年(82)

I returned with my husband to the serviced residence again. Since moving out of the residence, my activity level had dropped, and my legs and back had become weaker. I had pain and had to hold on to something to stand up. So I decided to go to a day partly for rehabilitation.

2019年(83)

It became very difficult to grasp time and space, such as a specific location, but I calmed down emotionally. I moved with her husband to another serviced residence for the elderly.
